You would think in 2017 Racism wouldnt exist .........

I don't know about you all but I am very tired of watching the news in the morning and hearing about races acts that are hurting our country instead of building our country. Clearly it stats that the United States is the "land of the free", and the "land of the brave". Yet nothing of this true and the erects are hateful acts because of the color of our skins and no law can change unless we change our mentality.
Just this last week I had a mutual friend of Facebook involved into a church shooting, and the first thing I heard people on social media taught about was the color of his skin. We have to stop blaming a race when crisis like this happen in our world. Can we think about what the person was going through before we blame it on his race? We have the President Trump , who clearly is attempting to build a wall to prevent people from coming in ! I just think all of this is so sad, and to have children grow up in a world full of hate is scary.

Yet, the United States is not alone. Racism is effecting more places such as South Africa and Japan. In South Africa some "rates of products and goods are decided depending on the race of a person" (Shah, 2010).  I couldn't imagine this to happen to me. Take for instance milk for my daughter, what if it was higher than a white person buying It, I would be shocked. In Japan, which is considered one of the richest countries, they are known to have a "low tolerance for refuges and people from other countries"( Shah, 2010). It is almost as they think they are better than everyone else.

                                                   Crazy world huh?

Image result for Breastfeeding Posters

Breastfeeding was not easy for me at all. However, one of the main reason I choose to breastfeed is for all the benefits that my baby would have and I would have. I attended a breastfeeding support group and the lactation coach was an amazing woman who not only educated the mothers on the importance, but she was a example of the great benefits from breastfeeding. Routine is everything when nursing and it is best that you try to put your baby on a nursing schedule, so you won't get so wore out thinking all the baby is doing is eating,  My lactation coach taught me how to co-sleep and nurse at the same time, which helpless with newborn nights.

I located this interesting article about a woman who was scared to go back to visit her family in Jordan, because of how she would be viewed in public. She talked about her first three attempts to breastfeed and how others looked at her. It wasn't until the fifth time that she became more open to breastfeed in public. One thing about the woman is that she always would be dressed appropriately  when she did feed outside. In Jordan it is a custom for women to embrace breastfeeding and some say that breastfeeding is actually a law in Arab and it is to not be ashamed of.

December 11th .....Lord what a day!!!!!

My daughter arrival was something very scary, and I am so glad I made the decision to have C-section. I was induced due to high blood pressure, and after 12 hours no activity was made. My doctor came into the room and said I have two options either try another inducement in the morning or I could go in for a C-section. I was thinking to myself  "it isn't no way that I could restart again tomorrow", so I made the decision to go ahead with the C-section. When kylie came out , her umbilical cord was wrapped around her head twice. Had I not made that decision, kylie could of died because their was no true indications that anything was wrong.
                                                            THAT'S MY STORY

After researching other pregnancies in other countries I was very interested to learn about China. In China the poor mothers have to placed with other moms in the same room during active labor. I think this takes away from the special moments of birth.

In Uganda, pregnancy is a test of endurance. Fear and complaining about pregnancy is seen as a childish emotion. I was really shocked at this statement because who could say what level a women's pain is ? I did not go through much pain, but everyone is different.

You never know !!!

This week I had the pleasure of learning sooooo much about what it means to be in poverty, and homeless! I guess this is what inspir...
